1UP Conference 2025!

Inviting all Ontario youth to join 1UP for our annual 1UP Conference!

The annual 1UP Conference brings together high school students from across southern Ontario to explore topics related to the conference theme, Building Belonging. The Conference is a two-day event and will be taking place in Downtown Toronto on Saturday, March 29 & Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Building Belonging explores the intersection of innovation and social equity in urban development. It highlights collaborative opportunities between decision-makers and youth to create inclusive spaces in public and private sector projects. All aspects of the conference will emphasize the importance of both fair and forward-thinking solutions for communities.

What to Expect

The 2025 Conference will be featuring:

• Panel discussion
• Scavenger hunt
• Pitches from our 1UP School Chapters
• Design Jam

As part of Day 2 of the conference, students will take part in a Design Jam to develop a creative solution for a real-life urban challenge related to the conference theme. This event gives students an opportunity to discover, experience, and share creative ways to create meaningful impact in our cities. Additionally, all Design Jam groups will be mentored by planners, architects, landscape architects and designers, and will be given the chance to network with industry professionals!
